Girl, you've got to see this place!

Dear Bride,

You told me that you are looking for a wedding venue that is very elegant, very historic, and very Southern. Well, I have found just the place for you!

I was perusing Southern Living Magazine’s April 2020 issue in which is featured The South’s Best, and I learned that Perry Lane Hotel is considered to be one of the South’s very best hotels …but I had never even been inside… I needed a tour.

Caroline Greenwood could not have been sweeter! She met Anna and me in the foyer of the hotel after the kind valet took care of my car. Caroline is the Director of Catering and Convention Services at Perry Lane, and she was glowing with pride to show off the beautiful venue.

Perry Street divides the North and South towers of this downtown property. Enter the glass doors of the North tower and step into the historic study used as the foyer and concierge. The Marriott News (2018) said it best:

The new Perry Lane Hotel is the vision of the fictional muse, Adelaide Harcourt, whose life experiences, travels, and love of Savannah inspired the hotel’s design and whimsical art collection, which is eclectic, worldly, and peculiar. Built to mirror the aesthetic of Savannah’s traditional manor houses, The Luxury Collection’s Perry Lane Hotel balances a modern sophistication with the beautiful heritage and culture of Georgia’s first city. Under the interior design direction of Flank, Perry Lane Hotel

reflects the culturally-rich destination of Savannah as a major port city in the 18 th and 19 th centuries and embodies the vibe of an authentic manor house.

You can check out the website for the details, but you must see this place for yourself! They have 167 guest rooms and 12 suites, each one with rich textures and colors with unique artwork and historic details. I loved the wall-hanging rail, so classy. I found myself wanting to curl up on one of the couches with a good book and a cup of tea.

The property has three unique restaurants that I want to return to enjoy very soon. The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market is the perfect place for your guests to relax, to get a snack, or enjoy a cup of coffee any time of day. When you are ready to have the guys find a place to be, send them to The Wayward. This cool place is a muscle bar complete with a hanging motorcycle and a game room. Your wedding coordinator will need to retrieve them for the wedding. The Peregrin boasts the best view of the city. Add a floral install to the corner of the roof, and you will be ready for your ceremony with the skyline of Savannah as your backdrop. From the rooftop of the North Tower you can look over to the South Tower’s Rooftop Ballroom and Terrace that will be dressed in finery ready for your reception.

When you are inside, you will feel like you are far away from the noise of everyday life, but when you walk out the doors, you can enjoy the excitement and entertainment of downtown, the serenity of the squares and parks, and the intrigue of the historic homes and museums.

Let’s make an appointment for a tour and a tasting. I know you will love it!

All my best,
